Unwritten

 The rest is still unwritten
Song-ography

Been thinking a lot about gratitude lately.  This year I'm hoping to cultivate an attitude of gratitude. Before the holidays I made this jar to help me live out this intention.  It sits in the middle of my kitchen table.  My hope is that the rest of the fam will join in with contributions - but for the most part it's just been me so far.  Although at our family gathering for pollyanna day my sister in law snuck one in there - and so did a good  friend.  My hope is by this time next year the jar will be filled as we acknowledge our blessings day by day.

Linking up to Kathy's Song-ography party where this week's song is Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten" (a personal fave).

  1. What a great idea. My best friend would love this. I'll have to tell her about it. Whereas she's normally 10 steps ahead of me, she probably already has one. This will be fabulous to go thru a year from now-indulge in hot tea and pull out the gratitudes-and they'll come in random order.
    Meanwhile-a beautiful photo.

  7. Well hello there stranger! Personally, I am grateful that I am seeing you here :). Love the idea for the jar. I'm guessing that it will catch on with the family and you will soon see more pages being slipped in there. And it is the PERFECT interpretation for this week's Song-ography too! Hmmmm...might have to borrow this idea if you don't mind. Thanks for joining in at Song-ography....don't be a STRANGER!!!!!!!!!

  8. Gratitude is such a powerful thing - and I'm not saying that as some kind of perfect do-gooder sentence - I find it really works and I think it's a great idea to have put something physical in a place that you see everyday to remind you. I've done something in a kind of similar way a few years before and I was amazed at how quickly the grateful and positive thoughts came to me in a natural way if that makes sense. Thanks for sharing you cleverly composed photo. Renee
